  4. Version 1.16 of BusLogic Family SCSI Adapter Device Driver
  5. for NEXTSTEP Release 3.2 for Intel Processors

  7. The new version supports BusLogic BT946C PCI SCSI adapter under NeXTSTEP 
  8. Release 3.2 for Intel Processors
  9.  
  10. The new version of the driver has been uploaded to ftp.cs.orst.edu and placed 
  11. in  the /pub/next/binaries/drivers directory.

  18. OVERVIEW:

  20. BusLogic Family SCSI adapter device driver lets you take advantage of
  21. the following SCSI adapters:
  22. Manufacturer    Adapter   PC Bus  Tested firmware
  23. Bus Logic       445S     VL-Bus  3.31C, 3.36 , 3.37
  24. Bus Logic       445C     VL-Bus  4.21
  25. Bus Logic       747S     EISA    3.37
  26. Bus Logic       946C     PCI     4.22

  28. Note: There is a very high probability that other version of firmware
  29. mentioned above will work with driver.

  31. COPYING:
  32. The BusLogicFamily is shareware. You can freely distribute without
  33. changing or removing any parts of the package. If you found the driver
  34. reliable, please, register the driver. For more details see document
  35. Registration.rtf inside BusLogicFamily_1.16.tar.Z.

  37. Changes between version 1.13 and 1.16:
  38. 1. The version 1.13 of the driver was tested and works with these
  39.     versions of the firmware on BT445C: 4.21
  40. 2. The driver was adapted to work with PCI BT946C and was tested with
  41.    these versions of the firmware: 4.22
  42. 3. The driver now uses the disconnect flag from scsiReq to
  43.    determine correct disconnection setting.
  44. 4. The SCSI selection timeout was extended from default 250 ms
  45.    to 500 ms.
